Allegro Network Multimeter – The All-in-one Solution for Network Troubleshooting

This is how network traffic is analyzed today!

Network analysis for the Wireshark user: The German manufacturer Allegro Packets sets new standards in the analysis of networks! The Allegro Network Multimeter is used by network administrators to analyze network traffic in real time and in the recent past. In addition, the innovative solution from our partner Allegro Packets correlates all information across all network layers.

What are Allegro Network Multimeters?

Allegro Packets’ troubleshooting appliances are diagnostic tools for network analysis. They are deployed by network administrators around the world to analyze network traffic in real-time, whether the event to be analyzed is current or in the past.

They provide high granularity and detailed analysis. As a result, network problems, performance bottlenecks and packet losses can be quickly identified.

Allegro Network Multimeters use high performance, powerful software algorithms to analyze load peaks and disturbances. At the same time, they act as powerful network monitoring tools to ensure high network quality.

What is so special about Allegro Network Multimeters?

What makes Allegro Packets products so special is their ease of operation and the combination of high speed and performance.

Ultraportable models of the Allegro Network Multimeters are small, lightweight and do not need to be configured. With all of our appliances, analysis data is accessed via our web interface in a browser. Network problems can be detected within a few clicks. Problem areas or errors can be isolated and pcaps can be captured from pre-selected network traffic for further analysis.

Our customers appreciate the fact that data and statistics are available without delay, both for current network traffic and past network events. This added value is inherent in all our appliances, whether the 1G Allegro 200 or the 200G Allegro x300 and x500.

What are the system sizes of the network troubleshooting tool?

Allegro Packets’ state-of-the-art network diagnostic tools include the Allegro 200, 500, 1000/1200, 3000/3200, x500, the Virtual Edition and from this year, the latest Allegro x300 Series. These Allegro Network Multimeters are available for mobile or stationary use from 1 to 200 Gigabit analysis rates.

To illustrate the performance: The Allegro 200, which weighs a mere 260g and the size of a paperback, examines for example 5,000 IP addresses per second, while the Allegro 5500 examines up to 8 million packets per second.

The software and functionality are identical in all appliances. They differ in data performance, storage options and connectivity.

Small

The Allegro Network Multimeter 200 – our paperback book – and the 1000 or 3000 – our illustrated book – weigh a light 260 g and 2.2 kg respectively. It is used by network administrators for analysis of network traffic – in real time and the recent past. It also correlates the information across all network layers.

Network analysis

Do you want network analysis in real time and a look into the past at the same time? The Allegro Network Multimeter analyzes and correlates your network traffic across all network layers away. Thanks to click-through structures and Pcap recordings for individual events, you only see what interests you.

Mobile

The portable solution enables cost-effective yet powerful analysis of network traffic. You can detect errors in the network and bottlenecks in the network with just a few clicks Identify performance, detect packet losses and measure network quality.

Wireshark*

Are you working with Wireshark? Then the Allegro Network Multimeter is the perfect extension for you. Extract captures from a terabyte ring buffer, according to specific MAC or Pre-filter IP addresses, ports, protocols, countries and much more via the web interface and extract the Pcap. You can then extract the desired SIP connection from one 10G data stream.

And yet so powerful

As small as the network analysis device is, it can process data rates of up to 1, 10 or 40 and 100 Gbit/s full duplex, depending on the device variant. The Allegro Network Multimeter can be used as transparent bridge, can be installed on the tap or on the mirror port. The web-based management system is controlled by any browser.

Alert

Has the MOS value of the telephone system deteriorated? How many DNS requests took longer than a second? Which local HTTP server has stopped responding? These events (and many… more) the Allegro Network Multimeter analyzes automatically and, if requested, sends detailed warnings by email.
